FAQ

Common questions from owners and operators

What does a fractional Controller actually do?

Own the close, the balance sheet, statement quality, variance commentary, and the monthly package your bank or board can use. You keep your bookkeeper; we put a Controller layer on top.

How is this different from a bookkeeper or a full-time CFO?

Bookkeeping records transactions. A full-time CFO is a six-figure seat most companies under $50M do not need forty hours a week. Fractional Controller and CFO work sits in that gap: controls, cash, forecast, and the decisions that follow.

Do you work only in Ontario?

The practice is based in Ontario and serves clients across Canada remotely. Public-company reporting experience is applied to growing private businesses.

What do the plans cost?

Controller Essentials starts at $1,500 per month, Controller Pro at $2,500, and Finance + AI at $4,000. Scope depends on entities, transaction volume, and how involved the seat needs to be.
